Insight Economics and Business Strategist was established to help organizations strengthen performance while promoting economic stability, responsible leadership, and reforms that ensure economic systems work for all citizens. The initiative is built on the professional experience and vision of Ron Williams, MBA, SBSP, CFE, a seasoned financial and operational executive with decades of leadership across global corporations and mid-market organizations.

Ron’s leadership philosophy was shaped early through service in the United States Army,  where he developed a strong commitment to discipline, accountability, and service. While  earning his MBA from the University of Michigan–Flint, he built a career in financial strategy, operations management, and executive leadership.

Throughout his career, Ron has held senior financial leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer, Division Financial Controller, Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, and Plant Controller, where he led financial strategy, operational improvements, and long-term planning initiatives that improved profitability, increased efficiency, and strengthened organizational performance across multiple organizations.

Prior to his current role as Executive Managing Director, he worked as Senior Vice President and Controller at Printwell Acquisitions further demonstrated his ability to transform organizations. Under his leadership, the company’s performance scorecard improved from a “D” to an “A” within two years, restoring profitability and unlocking free cash flow.

In addition to his executive leadership experience, Ron is currently a Doctoral (DBA) student in Management at Belhaven University, where his research focuses on anchor institutions and tax-based incentive policies. His work explores how universities, hospitals, major employers, and public institutions can partner with governments and businesses to promote sustainable economic development, community investment, and inclusive growth. He also examines how well-designed tax incentive policies can stimulate responsible investment while ensuring that economic benefits extend to workers, businesses, and local communities.

These experiences shaped Ron’s broader perspective that strong businesses and strong economies must work together. Insight Economics and Business Strategist was created to help leaders understand economic forces, strengthen business strategy, and support reforms that encourage sustainable growth, fair opportunity, and long-term economic stability for businesses, workers, and communities.
